Police in Hastings say every window was broken at the house of an elderly man at about 3am on Sunday.
The man, 80, was woken by the sound of smashing glass: someone was walking around his house in the suburb of Flaxmere, breaking windows.
Police say it was a cowardly and mindless attack.
