A tramper has been found in the foothills behind the North Island town of Levin, after being reported missing on Saturday.
The 33-year-old man from Paraparaumu was tramping in the Tararua Ranges when he fell and injured himself.
The man has non life threatening injuries to his head, back and legs.
He is being flown to Wellington Hospital by a rescue helicopter.
