Five people have escaped from a house fire in the Auckland suburb of Mt Roskill.
The Fire Service says crews arrived at the house on Ellis Avenue just after 4am on Monday to find the building well ablaze.
Fire safety officers were examining the scene for clues on what may have started the fire.
