Police in Rotorua say they are not looking for anyone else over the disappearance of a 32-year-old woman last week.
Her car was found abandoned at Lake Tikitapu, the Blue Lake, last Monday night.
Police search and rescue specialists, volunteers and the coastguard have searched the water and shoreline - with a further six searches of the lake at the weekend.
A police dive squad was sent back to Wellington on Friday.
Detective Sergeant John Wilson says everything points to the woman's body being in the lake, but searches will now be scaled back to one a day.
The lake remains closed to the public.
