State Highway 6 is closed in lower Buller Gorge after a crash this evening.
The single-vehicle crash happened on Lower Buller Gorge Road, between Heaphys Road and Bucklands Peak Road, about 6.15pm, police said.
The Serious Crash Unit will be investigating, and the road will be shut for several hours.
There is no alternative route available, so motorists are advised to delay travel, police said.
The road status will be updated on NZTA's Journey Planner website.
