A "dangerous" suspect wanted in connection with a violent kidnapping in Auckland is still on the run.
Police say a gun was fired at a property on Sunhaven Avenue in Beach Haven on 2 April and a woman was forcibly put in a car.
She was badly injured during the incident.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of 25-year-old man, Ralph Park, was asked to call 111.
Police said he was considered dangerous and should not be approached.
He was described as being 166cm tall and is of thin build.
As part of the investigation police carried out a search warrant at a rental house on Creightons Road, Clevedon.
In its reporting, TVNZ said it understood the property was owned by former Auckland mayor Phil Goff.
Police said the property was managed by a local real estate agency and the overseas owners had been contacted.
Goff is currently the High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
"On approaching the address, our staff have encountered occupants at the address who became obstructive towards them," Detective Inspector Callum McNeill said.
"We can confirm a clandestine laboratory has since been discovered at the property."
Park was not found at the rural address.
"Our investigation team are continuing to carry out a thorough examination of the rural property, and at this stage we can't advise of any further items of interest located.
"A 35-year-old man was arrested at the address and will be facing charges relating to the clandestine laboratory that was discovered."
The man is expected in the Manukau District Court on Thursday.
