Police in Christchurch are investigating after a teenager was found with critical injuries on Friday.
A caretaker found the 18-year-old in Gloucester Street, near Chancery Arcade,
about 7am.
He is in critical condition in Christchurch hospital.
Detective Senior Sergeant David Harvey says police do not know how the young man received his injuries.
Police are working to find his friends and flatmate to help establish his movements.
