A man has been arrested after reports of gunfire and a stand-off in west Auckland.
Police were called to a property on Simpson Road just before 10am and officers put cordons in place while negotiating with a man to come out.
The man surrendered to police and no one was injured.
Charges were being considered, said police.

They thanked nearby residents affected by the incident for their support as officers worked to reach a peaceful resolution.
Simpson Road was closed between Candia Road and Babich Road.
Auckland Transport said some stops on bus route 142 would be missed.
