A man involved in a standoff with police on the banks of the Waikato River in Hamilton has appeared in the Hamilton District Court.
Farmhand Shad Undersen, 36, faces 12 charges, however only one relates an incident on Monday which left a 36-year-old police officer injured.
Mr Undersen faces a charge of wounding with intent to avoid arrest, relating to that incident.
The other charges include stealing money using a computer, threatening to kill a woman and illegal possession of a firearm.
He has been remanded in custody to reappear on 4 August.
Mr Underson surrendered to police after three hours on Monday, when they confronted him with a taser.
