A person has died in a house bus fire in the South Island's Westland.
Police said emergency services were called to a property in Blue Spur about 4am on Monday.
One person was able to escape the bus unharmed, but a second person was later found dead.
Police said it would help Fire and Emergency New Zealand determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the fire.
