Police say they don't believe there is any ongoing safety risk to the public after launching a homicide investigation into a Dunedin man's death.
Gurjit Singh, 27, was found dead in Liberton on Monday morning as a result of multiple stab wounds inflicted by a sharp object.
Police are asking for any information about the Liberton and Pine Hill areas, especially around 10pm on Sunday 28 January.
"Residents in the area that might have road facing CCTV that may have captured movement of vehicles in the area are urged to contact police through the normal 105 method," Detective Senior Sergeant Kallum Croudis said.
The only person living at the address was Singh, he said.
People of interest were being sought, but Croudis said he could not comment further.

When asked about formal interviews, Croudis said: "There have been a number of interviews around Mr Singh's friends and colleagues."
He said there has not been anything found so far to suggest that this was a hate crime.
Police were also still looking into how a window at the property was broken and by who, Croudis said.
There were two business vehicles in the cordon, Croudis said one belonged to the Singh and the other was the individual who drove up and found him.
"Those are vehicles of interest so they will be examined."
Singh's phone communication was being analysed.
