A 24-year-old woman has appeared in court charged with murder, after the death of a man in Hamilton last last year.
Re Reo Wickliffe-Heta, also 24, was found dead on a driveway on Sundown Crescent in the suburb of Melville in December.
Emergency services were called on the evening of 29 December.
The accused woman has appeared today in the Hamilton District Court and has been granted name suppression.
She will reappear in court on 8 February.
Detective Senior Sergeant Terri Wilson said the tragedy shocked the local community, however, it was an isolated incident.
Officers were continuing with their inquiries and he was asking anyone with information on the case to come forward.
"Even the smallest detail could assist our investigation".
