Police have laid charges after a fatal crash on Canterbury's Castle Hill on Sunday.
One person was killed in the two-vehicle crash on West Coast Road, and three others received serious injuries.
Two more people had moderate to minor injuries.
A police spokesperson said a 47-year-old man had been charged with careless or inconsiderate vehicle operation causing death.
He will appear in Christchurch District Court on Monday.
