Firefighters extinguish large house fire in Papatoetoe

A large house fire in South Auckland's Papatoetoe on Thursday evening has been extinguished.

Fire and Emergency were called to the blaze shortly before 5pm and 40 firefighters were tackling the fire at its peak.

No injuries have been reported.

Fire and Emergency said a police scene guard was at the property overnight and fire investigators would be on the scene on Friday morning.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
