One person has died following a single-vehicle crash in Te Puna, Bay of Plenty.
Police were called to the scene on Clarke Road around 5.30am on Monday.
The road was closed between State Highway 2 and Te Puna Station Road while emergency services attend.
Police said people were asked to avoid the area.
"The Serious Crash Unit is at the scene and an investigation into the cause of the crash is underway."
