Two men have been arrested in the Bay of Plenty in relation to a shooting that seriously injured a woman last month.
Police received multiple calls of shots being fired at cars and houses around Ōpōtiki in October, linked to tensions between Black Power and the Mongrel Mob.
In a statement, Area Commander Inspector Nicky Cooney said that resulted in police invoking warrants to search seven properties and 34 vehicles, Cooney said.
"To date, police have located and seized over $27,000 in cash, two firearms, 10 offensive weapons, ammunition, drugs - including cannabis, LSD and meth - and impounded two vehicles."
Eleven people had been arrested, two summonsed, three warned and two referred to Youth Aid, Cooney said.
The two men arrested in relation to the shooting on 21 October, both aged 28, are charged with doing a dangerous act with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
They are due to appear in Ōpōtiki District Court on 8 and 16 of November.
