Police are investigating two separate firearms incidents in Ōtara this weekend.
Police said shots were reported fired at two residential addresses in the south Auckland suburb, one on Bampeid Road around 8pm on Friday and one on Sandra Avenue around 7.30pm on Saturday.
Nobody was injured in either incident and police said a scene examination was under way today at the Sandra Avenue address.
"The community can expect to see an increased police presence in the area as enquiries continue," said Acting Detective Inspector Michael Hayward, from the Counties Manakau CIB.
Anyone with information on the incidents should contact police on 105 or report any information anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
