A large oil spill is blocking a road in central Auckland.
Emergency services are directing traffic on Mt Eden Road near Symonds Street.
Auckland Transport said police were letting buses through, but delays and possible cancellations of Mt Eden bus services were expected.
Fire and Emergency said crews arrived just after 10am this morning and put an absorbent down to stop it spreading into stormwater drains.
Police have been approached for comment.
