Man faces manslaughter charge after 60-year-old dies from head injuries in Manurewa

Police have laid additional charges in relation to the case of the man who died from serious head injuries last month in Manurewa.

The 60-year-old man, who died in hospital on 26 April, was found with the injuries at a home the South Auckland suburb on 17 April.

Last month, a 48-year-old man was arrested and charged with intent to injure.

In a statement on Wednesday, police said he was expected in Manukau District Court in the afternoon on a manslaughter charge.

Police said their homicide investigation was ongoing, but confirmed they were not seeking anyone else in relation to the case.
