A man is on the run after robbing a Christchurch currency exchange today
The man entered a Riccarton shopping centre currency exchange about 2.15pm armed with a knife and threatened staff before fleeing with several thousand Australian and New Zealand dollars.
Police are asking the public to help identify a man they believe "may be able to assist with our enquiries".
"Additionally, police are asking the public to look out for anyone in Christchurch in possession of large amounts of cash in New Zealand and Australian currency," police said in a statment.
