Armed police have responded to reports of a firearm in a vehicle in the Wellington suburb of Te Aro.
Police received reports of a firearm allegedly being presented from the vehicle just after 2pm.
Officers located the vehicle and a firearm was found inside, police said.
A spokesperson said inquiries were ongoing.
