Multiple people are believed to be seriously injured following a crash in Napier.
Police said emergency services were responding to the crash in Maraenui just before 8pm on Tuesday.
"Initial indications suggest several people have serious injuries," a spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said the crash happened near the intersection of Barnard Avenue and Bledisloe Road.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area.
The serious crash unit had been notified, police said.
