A 21-year-old man has been arrested in relation to a serious assault in Warkworth, north Auckland, last Friday.
The police said emergency services were called the intersection of Falls Road and Hudson Road around 11.30pm, after a report of a verbal altercation, and a man was found seriously injured.
The victim remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.
The 21-year-old will appear in the North Shore District Court tomorrow, facing two charges.
The police said they were not seeking anyone else, but were still wanting to hear from anyone who have witnessed the assault.
