A former St Peter's School teacher has been arrested following a police investigation into historical sexual offending.

The man, 73, has been charged with 10 counts of indecent assault involving seven victims.
He is due to appear in the Hamilton District Court today.
The investigation focused on the time period from 1974 to 1980, police said in a statement.
St Peter's School management were aware and supportive of the investigation, police said.
