Some secondary school principals have accepted a pay rise that others have rejected.
The Secondary Principals' Association says its members have agreed to a $6000 pay rise spread over two years.
It said the offer fell short of principals' expectations, but they recognised the country was facing tight economic times.
Last week, the Post Primary Teachers' Association said its Secondary Principals Council had rejected the same offer.
The PPTA has also refused the offer on behalf of its member teachers, while primary teachers represented by the Educational Institute are voting on it this week and next.
