Police are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted in her Ngaruawahia home in Waitako during a burglary.
The woman sustained serious injuries and was now recovering at home.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in Old Taupiri Road area in Ngaruawahia on Tuesday.
The incident happened some time between 11am and 2pm that day, police said.
Two young men are believed to have been involved.
Police are asking anyone with dash cam footage or who saw the men in the area at the time to contact them.
