A body has been found on an Auckland beach.
Police were alerted about 6.30am after the body was found at Beachlands.
They said they would be unable to confirm the identity until a formal identification took place.
A kayaker has been missing in the area for a week, after failing to return from a fishing trip in the Firth of Thames.
