Christchurch eye surgeon pleads guilty to firearms charges

A Christchurch eye surgeon charged with attacking a Lyttelton couple in their home has pleaded guilty to three firearms charges.

Ian Dallison appeared by video link today from Christchurch Men's Prison for a case review at the High Court in Christchurch.

He pleaded guilty to three firearms charges which include unlawfully possessing a restricted weapon.

In September, he pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempted murder.

Justice Isac remanded Ian Dallison to remain in custody to resume the case review on 24 November.
