A 43-year-old man has been arrested after a shooting incident yesterday in Auckland's suburb of New Lynn.
He is expected to appear in the Waitakere District Court on 11 November charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, a police statement said this evening.
"Police are actively continuing enquiries into this incident," it said.
"We would like to thank those affected yesterday for their patience and assistance and continue to urge those who have information to contact Police."
Yesterday reports were received that man had been shot at a house on Hutchinson Rd in New Lynn at around 9.40am.
He drove to a petrol station on nearby Great North Road and was then taken to hospital with serious injuries.
