Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash involving a cyclist in Christchurch.
Police said officers were notified of the incident on Halswell Junction Road at 2.20pm on Tuesday afternoon.
The road was partially closed, with detours in place.
Motorists were being advised to avoid the area.
