Police are reassuring people there is no known tsunami threat in Dunedin, after a person drove around the city claiming there was.
In a statement on their Facebook page, Southern District Police said they were aware a person was using a loud speaker and driving around the city, claiming there was a tsunami threat.
However, police said there is no tsunami forecast and no need to move to higher ground.
