A homicide investigation has been launched following the death of a baby in Starship Hospital in Auckland.
The three-month-old was taken to Middlemore Hospital with serious injuries on 18 September.
The baby was subsequently moved to Starship Hospital, and died in the early hours of Thursday morning.
A 31-year-old man was charged last week with wounding with intent to injure and is due to reappear in court in October.
Police have confirmed further charges will be considered.
