Some health information that has been unavailable to the public since district health boards were abolished is soon to be made available again.
Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand which replaced the DHBs in July, has been criticised for a lack of transparency.
Information that used to be published in DHB agendas has not been easily available - including health screening and immunisation rates, and surgical wait times.
Te Whatu Ora chair Rob Campbell said the information will be collated into an easy to check dashboard that will allow the public to monitor the organisation's targets and obligations.
He said they will first start with the old available data, that would then gradually evolve towards a more trackable accountability.
"So that the public would be able to see how we were tracking against the obligations that we picked up after the new legislation," Campbell said.
