A 27-year-old man has been arrested in relation to a shooting in West Auckland last weekend.
In a statement, Detective Senior Sergeant Megan Goldie said the Armed Offenders Squad undertook a planned operation at a Henderson property this afternoon.
The operation resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old man in relation to a shooting in the west Auckland suburb of Sunnyvale last weekend.
The man is expected to appear in the Waitākere District Court tomorrow on a charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
A 24-year-old female will also appear in the Waitākere District Court tomorrow after she was found at the same Henderson address and charged with being an accessory after the fact.
Goldie thanked the public for its assistance after police earlier put out an appeal for information.
Police were not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident but Goldie urged people who had seen a black Volkswagen Golf with the registration NWY742 to contact police on 105.
