Fire crews have extinguished a blaze in a South Auckland apartment block.

Responders were called to a building in Manukau after a fire on the 11th floor.
Fire and Emergency said the building suffered extensive water damage, with the flame being held by the buildings sprinkler systems.
Residents have returned inside and the incident has been handed back to building management.
