There are 5169 new community cases of Covid-19 to report today, the Ministry of Health says.

The ministry said there were 599 people in hospital, including 11 in ICU.
The seven-day rolling average of community cases is 4938. Last Wednesday it was 6355.
Health statistics have shown 87 people have died in their homes from Covid-19 since March 2022. Public health experts want the deaths investigated to see whether any could have been prevented.
On Tuesday, 5939 new community cases were reported and there were 634 people in hospital, including 15 in intensive care or an HDU.
