A woman who lives next to a Horowhenua state highway and says new safety barriers on the side of the road make it unsafe for her to turn into her property, is sceptical anything will change.

A truck rumbles along SH57 near Levin, with the new barriers on both sides of the road.

Molly Page has complained to Waka Kotahi about the barriers on State Highway 57, south of Levin.

She said she no longer has room to safely pull over to the left before turning right into her driveway.

Waka Kotahi staff had visited the site and identified potential improvements near some driveways.

But Page said she was not holding her breath.

Molly Page and John Andrews are concerned the new barrier on the side of SH57 means they don't have room to pull over before turning into their driveways.
