One person has died after a crash in Canterbury yesterday evening.
A vehicle went off the road into the Waipara River, off Double Corner Road, in Amberley about 5:35pm.
Two people were trapped under the wreckage and eventually freed, but one died shortly afterwards.
The other received moderate injuries.
