A 35-year-old man will appear in the Hamilton District Court today charged with the murder of Auckland man Abdul Kareem.

The 40-year-old, from Māngere, was found dead in the Whangamarino River in Meremere on Tuesday afternoon.
Police are still appealing for information about the case.
They want to hear from anyone who used the boat ramp on Island Block Road on Tuesday, and from anyone in the area of Island Block Road, Island Block Road bridge and the Whangamarino River that day between midday and 5pm.
