Police have confirmed one person has died and another has been injured in a crash in Temuka near Timaru.

In a statement, Police said the car went into a ditch on Factory Road at about 4.30pm.
One person received moderate injuries in the single-vehicle crash.
Police say Factory Road has now re-opened between Springfield Road and Rise Road.
