State Highway 3 just north of Mt Messenger in Taranaki will be closed for four hours a day in the coming week.

Work to complete pre-reseal repairs is due to start tomorrow - weather permitting - or on Wednesday if not.
The work is expected to take three days and the road will be closed between 10am and 2pm.
Waka Kotahi regional manager maintenance and operations Jaclyn Hankin said this work prepares the road for resealing, which is scheduled to be completed in the following months.
She urged motorists to plan ahead and avoid travelling over Mt Messenger.
