Rob Cousins' business, Capital City Crime Scene, has been confused with another with a similar name: Crime Scene Cleaners.

That business had to apologise this week after RNZ revealed it had been posting graphic death-related images from sites it has cleaned up, on its social media over a period of nearly two years.

Cousins said people have mistakenly called his office, "to voice their frustration and disgust".

He said not all trauma cleaners were the same, and he approached every job with respect.
