The government has included animal welfare professionals among those who can end self-isolation early via a negative rapid antigen test, if they're a close contact of a Covid-19 case.
The chief executive of the Veterinary Association, Kevin Bryant, said it was a relief for the stretched workforce, amid major staff shortages.
He said it meant vets could continue critical work with minimal disruption as the outbreak continues.
