A person has died in a single-vehicle car crash in Waikato this morning.
Emergency services were called to Stanley Road South, in Te Aroha, at 3am this morning.
Police say the vehicle reportedly left the road and crashed into a fence.
The driver died at the scene.
The road remains closed while the serious crash unit investigates and police advice motorists to avoid the area.
