Police say two people have suffered critical injuries after being affected by carbon monoxide fumes in the west Auckland suburb of Kumeū.
A spokesperson said emergency services were called about 8.30pm to reports three people were injured when a tank was being cleaned.
They said it appeared one person was cleaning the tank and two people came to help.
