Sam's Take - This week Sam looks at one of the favourites for the award season race, Spencer, the psychological drama about the Princess of Wales.

Directed by Pablo Lorrain, the story takes place over the three-day Christmas-Boxing Day period in 1991 as the Royal Family gathers at the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

Starring Kristen Stewart as the titular Princess Diana, it follows the decline of both her marriage and mental health during a royal Christmas in the early 1990's.

Diana struggles to determine who she is and the line between reality and her own inner demons personified.

As a psychological drama about a historical figure, viewers shouldn't expect much fact, with the idea being that the further Diana's mental health continues to decline, the further from reality the unfolding events get.
