A person has died following a single vehicle crash in Hawke's Bay this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene after a car hit a tree on Waimarama Road, Tuki Tuki about 20km south of Hastings at around 3.30am.
One person died at the scene.
The road has now reopened after being closed earlier.
Meanwhile, in Auckland the Te Atatū Road has reopened at the intersection of Gloria Avenue and Te Atatū Road, following a single vehicle crash shortly before 6am.
One person has been taken to hospital in a critical condition.
