Six people have been injured in a crash at one of Bay of Plenty's summer hotspots.

Emergency services were called to Pohutukawa Avenue in Ōhope, near Whakatāne about 5.20pm.
A large campervan and two cars collided.
St John said it was treating one patient with serious injuries and five others whose injuries ranged from moderate to minor.
There is no word yet on whether the seriously injured patient will go to hospital.
The road is blocked and diversions are in place.
