Police are investigating the disappearance of a woman in Taupō.

Jan-Marie Burton has been reported missing by her family and was last seen yesterday at 4pm.
In a statement, Taupō police said items of the woman's clothing have been located on Kinloch Beach, near the boat ramp on Kinloch Esplanade.
Police are asking boaties to avoid the eastern side of Whangamata Bay adjacent to the ski lane from 7am tomorrow while a search is conducted in that area.
They say her family and police are concerned for her wellbeing and anyone with information should dial 111.
