A New Brighton street has been reopened in Christchurch following reports of shots being fired.
Police earlier cordoned off an area of Bowhill Road between Marine Parade and Keyes Road roundabout.
They said no one was injured and inquiries were being made.
The first calls to police came in just after 10am today.
